At Makaira Boats we build industry leading aluminium sport fishing boats. We are the only company to offer a lifetime warranty on hulls, because quality is at the forefront of everything we do.

About

The Makaira boats factory is based a few hours north of Auckland in the game fishing capital of New Zealand, the Bay of Islands. Every aspect of our builds are done in house. From designing your build with our in-house designer, at fabrication with CNC cutting of the plate on our router and CNC break press, right through to painting in our fully certified semi-downdraft paint booth, electrical fit out and upholstery. This ensures the quality of our product from the raw aluminum right through to our boats leaving our factory.

All Hulls are designed using naval architecture software.
With a full weight study done on the boat before it is built to ensure the best sea keeping in all seas
Fully welded full length girders and inter-coastal frames
Multiple captive buoyancy chambers (we leave all frames and girders intact)
8mm hull standard
Limited Lifetime hull warranty (10 year transferable)
